Sunday Sermon Recap ‘A church that maintains it’s standard’

Sunday ,14/06/2020, 10:00 service

Preacher: Arch Bishop Daniel Makutsoane
Title: A church that maintains it’s standard
Scriptures: Psalms 103 and 73

A church that maintains it’s standard does the following 3 things:

  1. It is always giving thanks to The LORD
A church that normalizes and lives by giving thanks to The LORD maintains it’s standard.
  2. It prays
A church that does not pray becomes the devil’s playground. A church that prays, however, allows no space for the devil to trample or play on.
  3. It forgets not The LORD’s benefits
THE devil wants us to forget where The LORD dug us from, he wants us to think that we were not all that bad before while in sin – this is a complete lie! We would be disasters walking around if The LORD hadn’t come to rescue us. David testifies to this in the second verse of Psalm 73.

When we read Psalm 73 further, we glean that the devil shows us the arrogant and the wicked prospering while we, the repented people are struggling – another lie composed by the devil!

The devil further lies to us because He knows the plans and mercies of God for us; how much God has been taking care of us. He is busy blocking our screen because he knows the truth that The LORD is faithful.
A plea to the church: do not set your eyes on your situation, but set your eyes on The LORD

THE truth is, without God’s grace, we seize to be. It’s not by might, nor by power, but by The LORD’s Spirit.

Amen.
